Founder & CEORobert is Founder and CEO of Ciphero Ventures, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and portfolio company partnerships. He founded the firm with the conviction that the most consequential technology companies of the coming decade will be built at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI. Prior to founding Ciphero, Robert spent a decade at leading venture capital firms, where he backed security and enterprise software companies from seed through growth stages. He brings a rare combination of technical depth and investment acumen, having studied computer science before transitioning into venture capital. Robert is a sought-after speaker on topics including AI security, threat intelligence, and the future of enterprise security architecture.
Brandon Cole
PartnerBrandon focuses on enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure investments, including identity and access management, zero-trust networking, and security operations platforms. Before joining Ciphero Ventures, Brandon spent several years in corporate development at a major enterprise security vendor, leading acquisitions and strategic investments. He also has a background in the intelligence community, giving him a distinctive perspective on how nation-state and advanced persistent threat actors operate — insight that informs how Ciphero evaluates the durability of security startups' technical moats. Brandon holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Aiden Cross
Senior AssociateAiden leads sourcing and due diligence for Ciphero's AI and machine learning security investments. He joined the firm from an academic research background in adversarial machine learning, where his work on robustness evaluation of large language models was published at leading security and ML conferences. At Ciphero, Aiden tracks the frontier of AI-native security tooling — from LLM guardrails to autonomous threat response systems — and helps the firm identify technical differentiation in an increasingly crowded market. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in machine learning security.
